Kynar Aquatec^® PVDF latex based cool white roof coatings have become pivotal as we strive to conserve energy and minimalize manufacturing's impact on the environment. Cool white roofs are able to reduce roof temperatures up to 100°F and minimize heat transferred to the buildings interior. Cool white roofing helps reduce energy costs, improves occupant comfort, cuts maintenance costs and prolongs roofing service life, while reducing urban heat islands and associated smog. In addition to the benefit of cool white roofing, Arkema has recently commercialized several innovative Kynar^® PVDF resin products for photovoltaic panels, wind turbine blades and lithium ion batteries (for hybrid electric vehicles). Kynar Aquatec^® PVDF latex is one of many ways Arkema aims to cut environmental impact without sacrificing the quality and reliability of its products.
