Arkema Inc. applauds the passing of the AIM Act
Arkema has long been a strong supporter of the global effort to reduce HFC emissions, and Arkema has dedicated specific R&D and investment efforts in innovative low global warming potential (GWP) solutions. We believe that any successful effort to require use of lower GWP alternatives should give the industry, the community and its constituents and stakeholders the flexibility to pick the best available products for an efficient and safe transition without market disruptions, and we urge the Environmental Protection Agency to preserve such flexibility in implementing this legislation.
The certainty created by the AIM ACT will ensure that the U.S. industry will continue to invest and remain a leader in the global low GWP solutions for cooling and foam applications. The AIM Act will benefit not only the industry, but also consumers, the environment and the U.S. economy at large.
